NJ TRANSIT Fare Changes Effective July 1, 2024

New 30-Day Expiration for One-Way Tickets

Effective July 1, 2024, all NJ TRANSIT printed and digital one-way tickets will have a 30-day expiration period. This change is being implemented to streamline ticket purchasing and reduce waste.

Tickets purchased before July 1, 2024, will continue to be valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Customers are encouraged to use NJ TRANSIT's Trip Planner to calculate their new fare and purchase tickets online or at ticket vending machines. Printed tickets can also be purchased at ticket offices.

Other Ticket Options

NJ TRANSIT offers a variety of ticket options to meet the needs of all riders, including:

• FLEXPASS: Provides 20 one-way adult tickets for travel between one origin and one destination of your choice.
• Monthly Pass: Unlimited travel for one month on a specific route or zone.
• Quarterly Pass: Unlimited travel for three months on a specific route or zone.
• Annual Pass: Unlimited travel for one year on a specific route or zone.
