Cycling Canada Selects Elite Team for Rock Hill Event

Ottawa, ON – May 9, 2024 –

Cycling Canada is thrilled to announce that it will be sending a team of elite BMX racers to compete in the 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The event will take place from May 26 to 29, 2024, and will bring together the world's best BMX racers in a thrilling competition for the coveted rainbow jerseys.

The Canadian team will be selected based on their performances in the 2023 season and will include both men and women racers in the Elite, Junior, and Para categories. The team will be led by 2022 UCI BMX World Champion Drew Mechielsen, who will be looking to defend his title on home soil.
